| 英文： | But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. |

| 中文： | 他的脚，下入死地。他脚步，踏住阴间。 |
| 英文： | Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. |

| 中文： | 以致他找不着生命平坦的道。他的路变迁不定，自己还不知道。 |
| 英文： | Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them. |

| 英文： | Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth. |

| 中文： | 你所行的道要离他远，不可就近他的房门。 |
| 英文： | Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house: |

| 中文： | 恐怕将你的尊荣给别人，将你的岁月给残忍的人。 |
| 英文： | Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel: |

| 中文： | 恐怕外人满得你的力量，你劳碌得来的，归入外人的家。 |
| 英文： | Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger; |

| 中文： | 终久你皮肉和身体消毁，你就悲叹， |
| 英文： | And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed, |

| 中文： | 说，我怎吗恨恶训诲，心中藐视责备， |
| 英文： | And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; |

| 中文： | 也不听从我师父的话，又不侧耳听那教训我的人。 |
| 英文： | And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me! |

| 英文： | I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly. |

| 中文： | 你要喝自己池中的水，饮自己井里的活水。 |
| 英文： | Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. |

| 英文： | Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets. |

| 英文： | Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee. |

| 中文： | 要使你的泉源蒙福。要喜悦你幼年所娶的妻。 |
| 英文： | Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. |

| 中文： | 他如可爱的？？鹿，可喜的母鹿。愿他的胸怀，使你时时知足。他的爱情，使你常常恋慕。 |
| 英文： | Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love. |

| 英文： | And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger? |

| 英文： | For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings. |

| 英文： | His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. |

| 中文： | 他因不受训诲，就必死亡。又因愚昧过甚，必走差了路。 |
| 英文： | He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray. |
