中文: | 说,愚昧人哪,你们要会悟灵明。愚昧人哪,你们当心里明白。 |
英文: | O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. |

中文: | 你们当听,因我要说极美的话。我张嘴要论正直的事。 |
英文: | Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. |

中文: | 我的口要发出真理。我的嘴憎恶邪恶。 |
英文: | For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. |

中文: | 我口中的言语,都是公义,并无弯曲乖僻。 |
英文: | All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. |

中文: | 有聪明的以为明显,得知识的以为正直。 |
英文: | They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. |

中文: | 你们当受我的教训,不受白银。宁得知识,胜过黄金。 |
英文: | Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. |

中文: | 因为智慧比珍珠(或作红宝石)更美。一切可喜爱的,都不足与比较。 |
英文: | For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. |

中文: | 我智慧以灵明为居所,又寻得知识和谋略。 |
英文: | I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. |

中文: | 敬畏耶和华,在乎恨恶邪恶。那骄傲,狂妄,并恶道,以及乖谬的口,都为我所恨恶。 |
英文: | The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. |

英文: | The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. |

英文: | When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. |

英文: | Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. |

中文: | 听从我,日日在我门口仰望,在我门框旁边等候的,那人便为有福。 |
英文: | Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. |

中文: | 因为寻得我的,就寻得生命,也必蒙耶和华的恩惠。 |
英文: | For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. |

中文: | 得罪我的,却害了自己的性命。恨恶我的,都喜爱死亡。 |
