英文: | And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. |

中文: | 主人叫他来,对他说,我听见你这事怎吗样呢。把你所经管的交待明白。因你不能再作我的管家。 |
英文: | And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. |

中文: | 那管家心里说,主人辞我,不用我再作管家,我将来作什么。锄地呢,无力。讨饭呢,怕羞。 |
英文: | Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. |
第4段 | |
中文: | 我知道怎吗行,好叫人在我不作管家之后,接我到他们家里去。 |
英文: | I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. |

中文: | 于是把欠主人债的,一个一个的叫了来,问头一个说,你欠我主人多少。 |
英文: | So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? |

中文: | 他说,一百篓油。每篓约五十斤管家说,拿你的账快坐下写五十。 |
英文: | And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. |

中文: | 又问一个说,你欠多少。他说,一百石麦子。管家说,拿你的账写八十。 |
英文: | Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore. |

中文: | 主人就夸奖这不义的管家作事聪明。因为今世之子,在世事之上,较比光明之子,更加聪明。 |
英文: | And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. |
第9段 | |
中文: | 我又告诉你们,要籍着那不义的钱财,结交朋友。到了钱财无用的时候,他们可以接你们到永存的帐幕里去。 |
英文: | And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. |

中文: | 人在最小的事上忠心,在大事上也忠心。在最小的事上不义,在大事上也不义。 |
英文: | He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. |
第11段 | |
中文: | 倘若你们在不义的钱财上不忠心,谁还把那真实的钱财托付你们呢。 |
英文: | If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? |
第12段 | |
中文: | 倘若你们在别人的东西上不忠心,谁还把你们自己的东西给你们呢。 |
英文: | And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? |
第13段 | |
中文: | 一个仆人不能事奉两个主。不是恶这个爱那个,就是重这个轻那个。你们不能又事奉神,又事奉玛门。 |
英文: | No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. |

中文: | 法利赛人是贪爱钱财的,他们听见这一切话,就嗤笑耶稣。 |
英文: | And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. |
第15段 | |
中文: | 耶稣对他们说,你们是在人面前自称为义的。你们的心,神却知道。因为人所尊贵的是神看为可憎恶的。 |
英文: | And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. |

英文: | The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. |

英文: | And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail. |

中文: | 凡休妻另娶的,就是犯奸淫。娶被休之妻的,也是犯奸淫。 |
英文: | Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery. |

中文: | 有一个财主,穿着紫色袍和细麻布衣服,天天奢华宴乐。 |
英文: | There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: |

中文: | 又有一个讨饭的,名叫拉撒路,浑身生疮,被人放在财主门口, |
英文: | And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, |

中文: | 要得财主桌子上掉下来的零碎充饥。并且狗来舔他的疮。 |
英文: | And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. |
第22段 | |
中文: | 后来那讨饭的死,被天使放在亚伯拉罕的怀里。财主也死了,并且埋葬了。 |
英文: | And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; |
第23段 | |
中文: | 他在阴间受痛苦,举目远远的望见亚伯拉罕,又望见拉撒路在他怀里。 |
英文: | And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. |

中文: | 就喊着说,我祖亚伯拉罕哪,可怜我吧,打发拉撒路来,用指头尖蘸点水,凉凉我的舌头。因为我在这火焰里,极其痛苦。 |
英文: | And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. |

中文: | 亚伯拉罕说,儿阿,你该回想你生前享过福,拉撒路也受过苦。如今他在这里得安慰,你倒受痛苦。 |
英文: | But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. |

中文: | 不但这样,并且在你我之间,有深渊限定,以致人要从这边过到你们那边,是不能的,要从那边过到我们这边,也是不能的。 |
英文: | And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. |

英文: | Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: |

中文: | 因为我还有五个弟兄。他可以对他们作见证,免得他们也来到这痛苦的地方。 |
英文: | For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. |

中文: | 亚伯拉罕说,他们有摩西和先知的话,可以听从。 |
英文: | Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. |

中文: | 他说,我祖亚伯拉罕哪,不是的。若有一个从死里复活的,到他们那里去的,他们必要悔改。 |
英文: | And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. |

中文: | 亚伯拉罕说,若不听从摩西和先知的话,就是有一个从死里复活的,他们也是不听劝。 |
英文: | And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. |
