英文: | Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. |

中文: | 众民的风俗是虚空的。他们在树林中用斧子砍伐一棵树,匠人用手工造成偶像。 |
英文: | For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. |

中文: | 他们用金银妆饰它,用钉子和锤子钉稳,使它不动摇。 |
英文: | They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. |
第5段 | |
中文: | 它好像棕树,是镟成的,不能说话,不能行走,必须有人抬着。你们不要怕它。它不能降祸,也无力降福。 |
英文: | They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. |

中文: | 耶和华阿,没有能比你的。你本为大,有大能大力的名。 |
英文: | Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. |
第7段 | |
中文: | 万国的王阿,谁不敬畏你。敬畏你本是合宜的。因为在列国的智慧人中,虽有政权的尊荣,也不能比你。 |
英文: | Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee. |

中文: | 他们尽都是畜类,是愚昧的。偶像的训诲算什么呢。偶像不过是木头。 |
英文: | But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities. |
第9段 | |
中文: | 有银子打成片,是从他施带来的,并有从乌法来的金子,都是匠人和银匠的手工,又有蓝色紫色料的衣服,都是巧匠的工作。 |
英文: | Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men. |

中文: | 惟耶和华是真神,是活神,是永远的王。他一发怒,大地震动。他一恼恨,列国都担当不起。 |
英文: | But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. |

中文: | 你们要对他们如此说,不是那创造天地的神,必从地上从天下被除灭。 |
英文: | Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens. |

中文: | 耶和华用能力创造大地,用智慧建立世界,用聪明铺张穹苍。 |
英文: | He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion. |
第13段 | |
中文: | 他一发声,空中便有多水激动。他使云雾从地极上腾。他造电随雨而闪,从他府库中带出风来。 |
英文: | When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures. |

中文: | 各人都成了畜类,毫无知识。各银匠都因他雕刻的偶像羞愧。他所铸的偶像本是虚假的,其中并无气息, |
英文: | Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. |
第15段 | |
中文: | 都是虚无的,是迷惑人的工作。到追讨的时候必被除灭。 |
英文: | They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish. |

中文: | 雅各的分不像这些,因他是造作万有的主。以色列也是他产业的支派,万军之耶和华是他的名。 |
英文: | The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name. |

中文: | 受围困的人哪,当收拾你的财物,从国中带出去。 |
英文: | Gather up thy wares out of the land, O inhabitant of the fortress. |
第18段 | |
中文: | 因为耶和华如此说,这时候,我必将此地的居民,好像用机弦甩出去,又必加害在他们身上,使他们觉悟。 |
英文: | For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this once, and will distress them, that they may find it so. |
第19段 | |
中文: | 民说,祸哉。我受损伤。我的伤痕极其重大。我却说,这真是我的痛苦,必须忍受。 |
英文: | Woe is me for my hurt! my wound is grievous: but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it. |
第20段 | |
中文: | 我的帐棚毁坏。我的绳索折断。我的儿女离我出去,没有了。无人再支搭我的帐棚,挂起我的幔子。 |
英文: | My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains. |

中文: | 因为牧人都成为畜类,没有求问耶和华,所以不得顺利。他们的羊群也都分散。 |
英文: | For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered. |

中文: | 有风声。看哪,敌人来了。有大扰乱从北方出来,要使犹大城邑变为荒凉,成为野狗的住处。 |
英文: | Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons. |

中文: | 耶和华阿,我晓得人的道路不由自己,行路的人也不能定自己的脚步。 |
英文: | O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. |

中文: | 耶和华阿,求你从宽惩治我,不要在你的怒中惩治我,恐怕使我归于无有。 |
英文: | O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing. |
第25段 | |
中文: | 愿你将忿怒倾在不认识你的列国中,和不求告你名的各族上。因为他们吞了雅各,不但吞了,而且灭绝,把他的住处变为荒场。 |
英文: | Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate. |
