| 中文： | 自从我领以色列人出埃及，直到今日，我未曾住过殿宇，乃从这会幕到那会幕，从这帐幕到那帐幕。 |
| 英文： | For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another. |

| 中文： | 凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列的一个士师，就是我吩咐牧养我民的说，你为何不给我建造香柏木的殿宇呢。 |
| 英文： | Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars? |

| 英文： | Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel: |

| 英文： | And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth. |

| 中文： | 我必为我民以色列选定一个地方，栽培他们，使他们住自己的地方，不再迁移。凶恶之子也不像从前扰害他们， |
| 英文： | Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning, |

| 中文： | 并不像我命士师治理我民以色列的时候一样。我必治服你的一切仇敌，并且我耶和华应许你，必为你建立家室。 |
| 英文： | And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee an house. |

| 中文： | 你寿数满足归你列祖的时候，我必使你的后裔接续你的位，我也必坚定他的国。 |
| 英文： | And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. |

| 英文： | He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. |

| 中文： | 我要作他的父，他要作我的子。并不使我的慈爱离开他，像离开在你以前的扫罗一样。 |
| 英文： | I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee: |

| 中文： | 我却要将他永远坚立在我家里和我国里。他的国位也必坚定，直到永远。 |
| 英文： | But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore. |

| 英文： | According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David. |

| 中文： | 神阿，这在你眼中还看为小，又应许你仆人的家至于久远。耶和华神阿，你看顾我好像看顾高贵的人。 |
| 英文： | And yet this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for thou hast also spoken of thy servant's house for a great while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God. |

| 英文： | What can David speak more to thee for the honour of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant. |

| 中文： | 耶和华阿，你行了这大事，并且显明出来，是因你仆人的缘故，也是照你的心意。 |
| 英文： | O LORD, for thy servant's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things. |

| 中文： | 耶和华阿，照我们耳中听见，没有可比你的，除你以外再无神。 |
| 英文： | O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. |
| 第21段 | |
| 中文： | 世上有何民能比你的民以色列呢。你神从埃及救赎他们作自己的子民，又在你赎出来的民面前行大而可畏的事，驱逐列邦人，显出你的大名。 |
| 英文： | And what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt? |

| 中文： | 你使以色列人作你的子民，直到永远。你耶和华也作他们的神。 |
| 英文： | For thy people Israel didst thou make thine own people for ever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God. |

| 中文： | 耶和华阿，你所应许仆人和仆人家的话，求你坚定，直到永远，照你所说的而行。 |
| 英文： | Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said. |

| 中文： | 愿你的名永远坚立，被尊为大，说，万军之耶和华是以色列的神，是治理以色列的神。这样，你仆人大卫的家必在你面前坚立。 |
| 英文： | Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee. |
