| 英文： | Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. |

| 英文： | But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: |

| 中文： | 既有人的样子，就自己卑微，存心顺服，以至于死，且死在十字架上。 |
| 英文： | And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. |

| 中文： | 所以神将他升为至高，又赐给他那超乎万名之上的名， |
| 英文： | Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: |

| 中文： | 叫一切在天上的，地上的，和地底下的，因耶稣的名，无不屈膝， |
| 英文： | That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; |

| 中文： | 无不口称耶稣基督为主，使荣耀归与父神。 |
| 英文： | And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. |

| 中文： | 这样看来，我亲爱的弟兄你们既是常顺服的，不但我在你们那里，就是我如今不在你们那里，更是顺服的，就当恐惧战兢，作成你们得救的工夫。 |
| 英文： | Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. |

| 英文： | Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. |

| 英文： | But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. |

| 中文： | 因为我没有别人与我同心，实在挂念你们的事。 |
| 英文： | For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. |

| 中文： | 别人都求自己的事，并不求耶稣基督的事。 |
| 英文： | For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. |

| 中文： | 但你们知道提摩太的明证，他兴旺福音与我同劳，待我像儿子待父亲一样。 |
| 英文： | But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel. |

| 中文： | 所以我一看出我的事要怎样了结，就盼望立刻打发他去。 |
| 英文： | Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me. |

| 中文： | 但我靠着主，自信我也必快去。 |
| 英文： | But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly. |

| 中文： | 然而我想必须打发以巴弗提到你们那里去。他是我的兄弟，与我一同作工，一同当兵，是你们所差遣的，也是供给我需用的。 |
| 英文： | Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. |

| 英文： | For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick. |

| 英文： | For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. |

| 英文： | Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me. |
