《旧约 - 耶利米书(Jeremiah)》第4章

第1段
中文: 耶和华说,以色列阿,你若回来归向我,若从我眼前除掉你可憎的偶像,你就不被迁移。
英文: If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove.

中文: 你必凭诚实,公平,公义,指着永生的耶和华起誓。列国必因耶和华称自己为有福,也必因他夸耀。
英文: And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.

中文: 耶和华对犹大和耶路撒冷人如此说,要开垦你们的荒地,不要撒种在荆棘中。
英文: For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.

中文: 犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪,你们当自行割礼,归耶和华,将心里的污秽除掉。恐怕我的忿怒因你们的恶行发作,如火着起,甚至无人能以熄灭。
英文: Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

中文: 你们当传扬在犹大,宣告在耶路撒冷说,你们当在国中吹角,高声呼叫说,你们当聚集。我们好进入坚固城。
英文: Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.

中文: 应当向锡安竖立大旗。要逃避,不要迟延,因我必使灾祸与大毁灭从北方来到。
英文: Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.

中文: 有狮子从密林中上来,是毁坏列国的。它已经动身出离本处,要使你的地荒凉,使你的城邑变为荒场无人居住。
英文: The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.

中文: 因此,你们当腰束麻布,大声哀号,因为耶和华的烈怒没有向我们转消。
英文: For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.

中文: 耶和华说,到那时,君王和首领的心都要消灭。祭司都要惊奇,先知都要诧异。
英文: And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.

中文: 我说,哀哉。主耶和华阿,你真是大大地欺哄这百姓和耶路撒冷,说,你们必得平安。其实刀剑害及性命了。
英文: Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.

中文: 那时,必有话对这百姓和耶路撒冷说,有一阵热风从旷野净光的高处向我的众民(原文作民女)刮来,不是为簸扬,也不是为扬净。
英文: At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse,

英文: Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them.

英文: Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.

英文: O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?

英文: For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim.

中文: 你们当传给列国,报告攻击耶路撒冷的事说,有探望的人从远方来到,向犹大的城邑大声呐喊。
英文: Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.

中文: 他们周围攻击耶路撒冷,好像看守田园的,因为她背叛了我。这是耶和华说的。
英文: As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD.

英文: Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart.

英文: My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.

中文: 毁坏的信息连络不绝,因为全地荒废。我的帐棚忽然毁坏。我的幔子顷刻破裂。
英文: Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.

英文: For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

中文: 先知说,我观看地,不料,地是空虚混沌。我观看天,天也无光。
英文: I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

英文: I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

英文: I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

英文: For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

中文: 因此,地要悲哀,在上的天也必黑暗。因为我言已出,我意已定,必不后悔,也不转意不作。
英文: For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

中文: 各城的人因马兵和弓箭手的响声就都逃跑,进入密林,爬上磐石。各城被撇下,无人住在其中。
英文: The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.

中文: 你凄凉的时候要怎样行呢。你虽穿上朱红衣服,佩戴黄金装饰,用颜料修饰眼目,这样标致是枉然的。恋爱你的藐视你,并且寻索你的性命。
英文: And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.

中文: 我听见有声音,彷佛妇人产难的声音,好像生头胎疼痛的声音,是锡安女子(女子就是指民的意思)的声音。她喘着气,??挲手,说,我有祸了。在杀人的跟前,我的心发昏了。
英文: For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.
