英文: | Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven. |

中文: | 不要吃恶眼人的饭。也不要贪他的美味。 |
英文: | Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats: |

英文: | For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. |

中文: | 不可挪移古时的地界。也不可侵入孤儿的田地。 |
英文: | Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless: |

中文: | 因为他们的救赎主,大有能力。他必向你为他们辨屈。 |
英文: | For their redeemer is mighty; he shall plead their cause with thee. |

英文: | Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge. |

中文: | 不可不管教孩童,你用杖打他,他必不至于死。 |
英文: | Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. |

中文: | 你要用杖打他,就可以救他的灵魂免下阴间。 |
英文: | Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell. |

中文: | 我儿你心若存智慧,我的心也甚欢喜。 |
英文: | My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. |

中文: | 好饮酒的,好吃肉的,不要与他们来往。 |
英文: | Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh: |

中文: | 因为好酒贪食的,必至贫穷。好睡觉的,必穿破烂衣服。 |
英文: | For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags. |

中文: | 你要听从生你的父亲。你母亲老了,也不可藐视他。 |
