| 英文： | And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: |

| 中文： | 你寄居在这地，我必与你同在，赐福给你，因为我要将这些地都赐给你和你的后裔。我必坚定我向你父亚伯拉罕所起的誓。 |
| 英文： | Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; |

| 英文： | And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; |

| 中文： | 都因亚伯拉罕听从我的话，遵守我的吩咐和我的命令，律例，法度。 |
| 英文： | Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. |

| 英文： | And Isaac dwelt in Gerar: |

| 中文： | 那地方的人问到他的妻子，他便说，那是我的妹子。原来他怕说，是我的妻子。他心里想，恐怕这地方的人为利百加的缘故杀我，因为她容貌俊美。 |
| 英文： | And the men of the place asked him of his wife; and he said, She is my sister: for he feared to say, She is my wife; lest, said he, the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah; because she was fair to look upon. |

| 英文： | And it came to pass, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out at a window, and saw, and, behold, Isaac was sporting with Rebekah his wife. |

| 英文： | And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife: and how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her. |

| 英文： | And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness upon us. |

| 中文： | 于是亚比米勒晓谕众民说，凡沾着这个人，或是他妻子的，定要把他治死。 |
| 英文： | And Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death. |

| 英文： | Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. |

| 英文： | And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: |

| 中文： | 他有羊群牛群，又有许多仆人，非利士人就嫉妒他。 |
| 英文： | For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him. |

| 中文： | 当他父亲亚伯拉罕在世的日子，他父亲的仆人所挖的井，非利士人全都塞住，填满了土。 |
| 英文： | For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth. |

| 中文： | 亚比米勒对以撒说，你离开我们去吧。因为你比我们强盛得多。 |
| 英文： | And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we. |

| 中文： | 以撒就离开那里，在基拉耳谷支搭帐棚，住在那里。 |
| 英文： | And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there. |

| 中文： | 当他父亲亚伯拉罕在世之日所挖的水井因非利士人在亚伯拉罕死后塞住了，以撒就重新挖出来，仍照他父亲所叫的叫那些井的名字。 |
| 英文： | And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them. |

| 英文： | And Isaac's servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water. |

| 中文： | 基拉耳的牧人与以撒的牧人争竞，说，这水是我们的。以撒就给那井起名叫埃色（埃色就是相争的意思），因为他们和他相争。 |
| 英文： | And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac's herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him. |

| 中文： | 以撒的仆人又挖了一口井，他们又为这井争竞，因此以撒给这井起名叫西提拿（西提拿就是为敌的意思）。 |
| 英文： | And they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah. |

| 中文： | 以撒离开那里，又挖了一口井，他们不为这井争竞了，他就给那井起名叫利河伯（就是宽阔的意思）。他说，耶和华现在给我们宽阔之地，我们必在这地昌盛。 |
| 英文： | And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land. |

| 英文： | And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake. |

| 英文： | That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have not touched thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but good, and have sent thee away in peace: thou art now the blessed of the LORD. |

| 英文： | And he made them a feast, and they did eat and drink. |

| 英文： | And they rose up betimes in the morning, and sware one to another: and Isaac sent them away, and they departed from him in peace. |
