中文: | 忿怒害死愚妄人,嫉妒杀死痴迷人。 |
英文: | For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one. |

中文: | 我曾见愚妄人扎下根,但我忽然咒诅他的住处。 |
英文: | I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation. |

中文: | 他的儿女远离稳妥的地步,在城门口被压,并无人搭救。 |
英文: | His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them. |
第5段 | |
中文: | 他的庄稼有饥饿的人吃尽了,就是在荆棘里的也抢去了。他的财宝有网罗张口吞灭了。 |
英文: | Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance. |

中文: | 祸患原不是从土中出来。患难也不是从地里发生。 |
英文: | Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground; |

中文: | 人生在世必遇患难,如同火星飞腾。 |
英文: | Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward. |

中文: | 至于我,我必仰望神,把我的事情托付他。 |
英文: | I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: |

中文: | 他行大事不可测度,行奇事不可胜数。 |
英文: | Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number: |

中文: | 降雨在地上,赐水于田里。 |
英文: | Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields: |

中文: | 将卑微的安置在高处,将哀痛的举到稳妥之地。 |
英文: | To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety. |

中文: | 破坏狡猾人的计谋,使他们所谋的不得成就。 |
英文: | He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. |
第13段 | |
中文: | 他叫有智慧的中了自己的诡计,使狡诈人的计谋速速灭亡。 |
英文: | He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong. |
第14段 | |
中文: | 他们白昼遇见黑暗,午间摸索如在夜间。 |
英文: | They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope in the noonday as in the night. |

中文: | 神拯救穷乏人,脱离他们口中的刀,和强暴人的手。 |
英文: | But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty. |

中文: | 这样,贫寒的人有指望,罪孽之辈必塞口无言。 |
英文: | So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth. |

中文: | 神所惩治的人是有福的。所以你不可轻看全能者的管教。 |
英文: | Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: |

中文: | 因为他打破,又缠裹。他击伤,用手医治。 |
英文: | For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole. |
第19段 | |
中文: | 你六次遭难,他必救你。就是七次,灾祸也无法害你。 |
英文: | He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. |
第20段 | |
中文: | 在饥荒中,他必救你脱离死亡。在争战中,他必救你脱离刀剑的权力。 |
英文: | In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. |
第21段 | |
中文: | 你必被隐藏,不受口舌之害。灾殃临到,你也不惧怕。 |
英文: | Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. |
第22段 | |
中文: | 你遇见灾害饥馑,就必嬉笑。地上的野兽,你也不惧怕。 |
英文: | At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. |
第23段 | |
中文: | 因为你必与田间的石头立约,田里的野兽也必与你和好。 |
英文: | For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee. |
第24段 | |
中文: | 你必知道你帐棚平安,要查看你的羊圈,一无所失。 |
英文: | And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin. |
第25段 | |
中文: | 也必知道你的后裔将来发达,你的子孙像地上的青草。 |
英文: | Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth. |
第26段 | |
中文: | 你必寿高年迈才归坟墓,好像禾捆到时收藏。 |
英文: | Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season. |
第27段 | |
中文: | 这理,我们已经考察,本是如此。你须要听,要知道是与自己有益。 |
英文: | Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good. |
